Monthly Tournament Sunday

We are holding the next monthly tournament this coming Sunday at 2pm, as an LTA course prevents Marina from running it the following week. Just turn up. 

Floodlights Update

The club has just paid its deposit for the delivery of floodlights on courts 4 and 7, the two adjacent to the lit courts. I don't yet have an installation date but I understand they should be delivered well before the end of the year. The committee will soon consider how we should best plan for this improvement in the club's facilities in terms of coaching and general play. Since we gained the extended evening cut-off time to 9:30PM a couple of years ago, this should make a significant change to the possibilities for play for us all during the winter months, especially for those keen to play midweek after work. We will also consider the possible need for booking courts and payment for use, as the power costs are not insignificant, although we are currently minded to maintain the present informal system.

October's Mix 'n' Match Tournament

Thanks to everyone who came to our October Mix 'n' Match tournament, organized by Marina. 

It was great to see so many of you enjoying the sunshine and playing some excellent tennis. 

With last year's champion, Jane, out of action it was a great opportunity to get some points on the board!

Congratulations to Finlay Whitefield, Ed Coventry and Nicola Hands, who have started off the season in spectacular form; all were unbeaten making it all square at the top of the table.

If you wern't able to attend, our next tournament will be on Sunday 2nd November with many more points up for grabs.
